The company

SoyBeanCompany is a company in the food industry that makes tempeh and is located in Kerkrade. Tempeh is mainly a product of soybeans and is also seen as a meat substitute. The product is delivered ex-works throughout Europe to retailers and wholesalers.

We are looking for a quality employee. This is a position for 36 to 40 hours per week.

The tasks/function

Making and processing different types of products tempeh such as: fresh, frozen, pasteurized and baked and in several variants such as: 250gr, 395gr, 10kg, 6 kg blocks. This can mean, for example: after the automated or sometimes manual cooking of the beans, placing new tempeh on racks after they have been automatically provided with a foil or filling crates mechanically with 6 kg of beans and then smoothing them out, mechanically cutting blocks of 6 kg of tempeh into small cubes and feeding them to the baking oven, packaging and stickering tempeh from racks, filling crates, trolleys or boxes with tempeh, partly from the spiral freezer, packing pasteurised tempeh in a sleeve and sleeve box, providing crates and boxes with crate bags, feeding tempeh into a metal detector, building pallets with crates or boxes of tempeh, moving the product by means of mobile racks and/or pallet trucks.

Monitoring part of the automated production process during production and performing the necessary actions where necessary.
Preparing the orders for the logistics department.
Checking products for quality.
Cleaning work on production areas.

Qualifications & Skills

You are in good physical condition and can also handle some heavier work such as lifting and moving crates and boxes.

You are a go-getter, have a go-getter mentality, can perform repetitive actions very well over a longer period of time and are able to work at a reasonably high pace.
You can work accurately and precisely.
You are willing to perform other common activities such as cleaning and maintenance.
You have a sufficient command of the Dutch, English and/or German language.
Recent experience with production work, preferably in the food industry, is an advantage.
You have a great sense of hygiene because it's about the production of food.
You are very flexible with regard to work and working hours.
You are willing to work in shifts (from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., from 3:00 p.m. to 12:00 p.m. or from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.) and occasionally a few hours during the day on Saturdays.
We like to work with people who want, can and do something more than just the assigned work.
Sollicitanten die alleen overdag kunnen werken en/of alleen lichtere werkzaamheden aankunnen, kunnen zich wel melden. Eventueel zijn daar ook mogelijkheden voor. Wel even duidelijk aangeven bij de sollicitatie.

Salary

You start with us on the basis of minimum (youth) wage. On the basis of education, experience, etc. or on the basis of good performance within SBC or length of service, we can deviate from this in a positive way.

For people who want to grow and have the capacity to do so, there are also opportunities such as: senior employee, shift leader or operator.

Type of employment: on-call contract for 7 months with guaranteed 40 hours per week. If you perform well, permanent employment is a possibility

Salary: €2,250.00 - €2,350.00 per month from the age of 21 for production employee.

NB: own transport is important. There are bus connections within a 15 to 20-minute walk.
